WE ARE WINDING DOWN....

5B,
Can you BELIEVE in just 2 days, we will have been together for almost 1/2 of our year already!?  That's just crazy to me!  Our time has just slipped by in a blink of an eye!  We have had so many fun and special memories already!  I can't wait to see what another 1/2 year will bring us!  A few that just jump into my head...

"Who's ALEX?"
Rolling off the blobs.. (a few more than others....You know who you are... eh m...  Bree:)
Reading together from Swear to Howdy (and now Hostage)...
"Who's Fat Ming?"
Learning about hunting from many of you!
Spencer's spazzy acting of the pawn shop scene!
Hearing about basketball tournaments and plays!
STRONG onion breath from a particular 5B sweetie...
Giving Hoot & Hollers for AMAZING Cadet Pride...
Fun Pass Celebrations...

Can you spot ALL 19 differences in this Christmas picture?  Write down how many YOU honestly found, and we'll check it out together sometime tomorrow!

Blog Proof...  I'll know you checked the blog IF you WALK in the door as if you are one of Santa's helper elves carrying his MASSIVE bag of presents!  No sound effects or noises, just the "action" of what it would look like, k?!

See you for FRIDAY!  2 WONDERFUL WEEKS in a ROW!  Awesome way to finish off the 2015 school year!

Oh, remember that your December Book-It can be done as of Tuesday, Dec. 22nd if you'd like it to be handed in BEFORE Christmas break.

Teacher's Meeting Thursday...

Just a heads-up to all of 5B....there is a staff/teacher meeting in the morning.  This could mean coming in later from the playground or starting the attendance without me possibly.  If I'm not there when you start, just go straight to working on your writing (Reports) or read to yourself.  Those are the 2 options.

I'll know you checked the blog if you give me a smile and a high 5 when you see me!

Reminder...
Coffee Talk - My Life in Dog Years Thursday - coffee cups, think page & finished the book!
Deadline - Advertising Reports Due THURSDAY for Dream Team and Wonderful Wackos
Deadline - Advertising Reports Due FRIDAY for Fantastic 5's

You've been working your tails off, 5B!  Keep it up.  I'm really proud of you!

Short Post....

One of my ultimate FAVORITE groups is Pentatonix (PTX).  They are a group that ONLY uses their voices, no instruments at all.  Their new Christmas song has a sweet and caring message.  Please watch the video, and do the blog proof below....

PTX shares all of the things "That mean Christmas to me...or them".  Please write down, your most serious feeling about what Christmas means to you.  SHOW me as you come in Wednesday morning.  Be sure it is written down, and you have the paper!  I'll tell you what mine is, too!

Have a great night!
Tomorrow is....

Mixed Up but MIND-BLOWING MONDAY!

....Ummmm.. I don't know how to spell what we do with our new phrase for 5B!  Well, you know what to do!  I tried to figure out how to spell that word, but nothing made sense to write down!

Point being...  Keeping up the Cadet Pride! So So Proud!!

Great job today with the music practice.  I know that was long and draining.  You sounded super though!  I can't wait to hear the rest of the solo groups, too!

Homework:  STEP 4 - for Sure!
Book Club Reading - LAST ONE, make it one you, your group and I am proud of for finishing the pages, discussing and having some "coffee."

Blog Proof!  Think of some more fun ideas to add to our "secret talent show act".  Write them down, and we'll share them with the class tomorrow.  The more about our class or about what life is like in 5th grade the better!  Speaking of what life is like.... excuse me while I go take a BATHROOM BREAK!!!!!!!!!

Crazy, Amazing, Fabulous, Super-de-Duper Week!

Hey there, Chicky Babies..
Do you REALIZE how amazing of a week we had as a CLASS last week?!!!  And we weren't even trying to get Fun Passes!  What?  This shows so much about who 5B really is, how much of a TEAM we can be, and how our 5B Family looks out for each other!

I am one......
This week will fly by SO quickly!  We only have 1 full week left before Christmas break.  YES, we still have school on Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 21 and 22), but that will be like a blink, too!  Goodness me, we have A LOT to do in the next 7 DAYS!  On top of how busy we will be, we also have no reading class on Monday afternoon.  With your music concert only ONE WEEK AWAY, Mr. Bieber is having a 5th-6th grade practice Monday afternoon from 12:45 - 2:25!  Yep!  You got it!  The more focused you are, singing your hearts out, the better for everyone!  We won't have recess BEFORE the music practice.  We will do it AFTERwards.  Okey, dokey, artichokey?

Homework Reminders...
Um..well, for sure you know you have a MAJOR
from your
STEP 4 of the Research Toy Analyst job is due Monday, Dec. 14 for Wonderful Wackos and Dream Team.  We talked about ALL SORTS OF OPTIONS to complete this if you weren't done in class on Friday.
**Work at recess for overtime
**Work during reading time
**Work over the weekend on Google Slides
**Work Monday morning at school BEFORE 8:10 a.m.

This will definitely show me WHO is ready for real world and who needs some "retraining"!  So, let's be sure to let the Boss Lady see 100% effort on the job!

Ok.. as blog proof, simply tell me WHICH of these Christmas treats you would have liked to nibble on as I made them this weekend! (if you had showed up... I was ready...showered JUST IN CASE one of you DID show up at my door!)
1) Scotcharoos
2) Peanut butter cookie with chocolate kisses
3) Sugar cookies - some frosted, some not
4) Caramel, Snickers chocolate chip cookies
5) Plain Oreos dipped in white
6) Mint Oreos dipped in chocolate
7) Chex Mix
**I think I gained about 5 pounds taste-testing... Oops!

Oh.... and
I am going to make a TON of Cadet Cash on Monday morning from people who need their iPads, pencil cases, planners, social studies books, notebooks, folders, etc.  Boy, oh, BOY!  Santa Sorenson is watching if you are picking up after yourselves!  Maybe she will skip your area the next time she drops something off!  :-o

4 Days in a Row.... 5B is Still Going Strong!

Short and Sweet..Can't Be Beat!  The blog is WAY short tonight!  Thanks for another super-dee-duper day!

A big shout-out to the band students!  Good luck tonight!  See you there!  Your 5B Mama is so proud of all of your extra effort, missed recesses and hard work!  So impressed!

Homework and Reminders.....

Can bring a small, dry snack for writing tomorrow - optional, of course!
Ask if family is interested in supervising the Big Blast Tuesday, Dec. 22nd from 10:30 - 11:15

Blog Proof.... As you come in, you'll whisper to me, "Did Santa Sorenson come again?"  I'll give you the ok to go check your stocking to see the answer to your question!

Big, BIG, BIG, BIG pat on the back for a majorly amazing 4 days!  Let's make it a WHOLE 5 DAYS to show what 5B is made of!  Yee-haw, Babies!!

Wednesday, December 9, 2015

Wow Wednesday!

3 in a ROW, Baby!! And what a GREAT way to celebrate both our 76 Fun Passes and enjoy a super job of being "on a roll" with Cadet Pride!  Check out the fun pics from today's indoor snowball fight!

Only ONE little injury, but she ended up fine!  I think this will have to be repeated game for us for indoor recess sometime in the future!  It was fun "pelting my students" with snowballs and NOT get in trouble for it!  Even the principal got to see you guys in action!

Big reminders for Thursday!
Homework:  Social Studies sheet, Reading for Coffee Talks, any UNDONE math homework:(

Tomorrow is a pretty normal! I'd like to start the day with with some Hostage!  We've taken a few days off, so it's time to find out more about that robbery that happened next door to Kaci's house.  As you come in Thursday, get ready for switches, and be ready for attendance RIGHT away!  I'd like to start reading by 8:25!   If we can do this, the whole class can go to lunch early! So, that means you'll need to REALLY help each other get on task IMMEDIATELY!
Blog proof...  Ask Kairi if she has a new sister yet! ???   Kairi, your blog proof is to come tell ME the answer to that question!
Don't forget to get your SNOWBALL on your NAME right away!  Too many forgetful Freds in here lately!

1 Marvelous Day + 1 Great Day =

I've been bragging last night and tonight after school to people how "on top of things" 5B is! So, so proud of EVERYONE!  Each of of you has impacted our amazing 2 days in a row!  I'm am honestly SO SO impressed with great attitudes, effort and all around Cadet Pride!  Oh, and we're all HEALTHY and back!  Yeh!!

Can we make 3 in a row?  The doughnuts as your little "thank you" didn't seem to sugar you up too much!  Let's see what tomorrow brings!  I'm confident that it's more WONDERFUL things for a Wednesday!

Fun Pass Celebration!  Ok, it was a pretty close vote between hot cocoa/popcorn chill time and the indoor active games like soft snowballs/wrestling room class games.  Hmmm..  So, I'm thinking we'll need to now vote on WHEN!

If you want it Wednesday (tomorrow), we'll do the wrestling room - snowball, tag, games, etc.
If you want it Friday afternoon, we'll do the hot cocoa/chill time.

So, please get your votes in ASAP! Click on this TodaysMeet!  Choose Wednesday or Friday for your vote.  I'll be prepared for either one, so just pick based on WHEN you want it:)

We also have guidance tomorrow! That's just an FYI!

Ok, now for reminders...

1) MATH HOMEWORK - you've had an entire week to complete.  It MUST BE signed by parents.  This will result in a Cadet dollar fine AND a Minor if not done.

2)  Step 3 of Research Analyst packet (not Fantastic 5)

3)  Stocking!  (Santa Sorenson stopped by.... check your stocking as you come in Wed. a.m.)

4)  COFFEE TALKS - be reading, filling out Think Pages and bring in those coffee mugs!

Blog Proof!  I'll know you checked this blog post if you are come in, get ready for switching and sit like a 5B Angel (ding...ahhh).  Have your hands above your head like a halo and smile sweetly and innocently!  Your voice should not be used:)

Magnificent, Marvelous, and a-Mazing Monday!

I can't think of a better day, 5B!  Many of you thought the same things about how well our transitions, ST Math time and especially reading and the end of the day transitions!  Woo-HOO!  I'd say our Monday deserves one mighty....
I'd say this can be our BLOG PROOF!
When I say, "What kind of day was Monday?"
You need to yell, "A HOOT and HOLLER day!"

I also wanted to share the pictures from last Friday's NED Show!  It was a blast, and I feel bad that some of you missed it!  What a fun performer!

I'm guessing SOME of you are wondering about our Fun Passes, too!  Well...  I decided to take a picture of the total from today....  I'm wondering if anyone remembers how many we needed????  Well, here's the picture!  Did we make it to 70?  Or are we going with 75?

Reminders....
1) Stocking from home (only if you wish... but a plain old sock will work fine!)
2) Math Homework - due Wednesday, but I'll pay Cadet Cash for early work!
3) Book Club Reading for Coffee Talks - be sure you're reading at home!
4)  Come in with the SAME AMAZING CADET PRIDE, ATTITUDE and EFFORT!  I'd say NED is in the air (wait, I think that's true because he is literally hanging from our ceiling!)

Another 5 FULL Days?? Can we handle it?

Although last week was a full 5-day week, there were a lot of extra activities that threw off our routines. Bob the Builder has the same idea as NED!  Never Give Up! (Yes, we can!) Encourage Others! (Yes, we can!) Do Your Best! (Yes, we can!)  These guys must be best buddies with such great attitudes!
This week should be MUCH more routine for us.  There will be new class jobs and new spots to move to.  So, we'll start the week off with fresh new jobs, seats and outlooks on LIFE!  Right-o?!

Some reminders...
1)  IF you forgot book orders, I waited to order. So PLEASE bring them in on Monday so I can get them sent in!

2)  Social Studies homework for some! Be sure you're showing Cadet Pride with responsibility.

3)  Bring in a Christmas stocking from home!  It can be a regular old sock (as long as it's clean!).  I think Santa Sorenson is checking her list of good boys and girls!  Santa Sorenson sometimes drops off little stocking stuffers BEFORE the real Santa comes just to spread the spirit of giving to others!

4)  Step 2 in Research Analyst packet - The Venn Diagram should be done for Dream Team and Wonderful Wackos!  Fantastic 5, you have Monday to work.

Blog proof!  Check on the side of the blog where the Christmas activities are on the Christmas Countdown.  Write down the days, hours, minutes and seconds it was when you checked the blog!  Show it to me when you come in on Monday morning.  Then get ready for moving to a new home AFTER our attendance and pledge are done.

We also need to see how many Fun Passes were left in the bucket on Friday afternoon!  I keep forgetting to count!

Oh, and Wonderful Wackos, you get to meet up with New York 5B on Monday!  Matt and his class have been VERY busy (like us) but are free ONLY this Monday!  Let's get ready to connect with our New York buds again!

2 Hour Delay.... a WHOLE LOT DONE!

Even with 2 hours less of school, 5B and the other 5th graders worked their TAILS off today!  Great job.  I saw some WONDERFUL examples of self-control today.  That's fabulous to see Cadet Pride from my 5B Babies (mama, mama)!

I'll keep it short tonight.  But remember tomorrow is a goofy schedule again due to the special visitors we have presenting
Mrs. McCabe worked hard to get them to visit OUR school, so let's be sure to show these visitors an AMAZING first impression of Crestwood Elementary and 5B!  The video link below is to watch for teachers, but I thought it would be a good introduction to The NED Show.  I'd like some BLOG Proof from the video.  NED stands for 3 different phrases.  On a piece of paper, write down....
N stands for ______________
E stands for ______________
D stands for ______________

After watching the video link below, you'll know the answers.  Write those in the blanks on your page.  Hand it to me as you come in Friday morning!  I'll also have small activity for you to work on when you come in.  Grab your scissors!  You'll need them!

And tomorrow is FRIDAY!!

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

Apples, Toys and Kahoots!

Yep, that kind of sums up our day today!  We forgot to count our Fun Passes today again!  Oops! What is your guess?  Your blog proof will be to post your prediction of how many we got today.  It was a pretty good day.  We got some put in and only a few taken out!  Click on this TodaysMeet Link Here!

Quick Reminders...
My Life in Dog Years - Coffee Talk tomorrow!  Bring books, think pages and be ready to chat about ALL of the chapters (Cookie, Snowball and Ike).

Book Club Orders - due Friday!

Classroom Contest - collect Milk Moola, Box Tops or Labels for Education!  Let's see what you have at home!

Here are some pics of the our delicious apples from Sawyer!  Thanks so much, man!  Hearing about the apple orchard was awesome!  You obviously learned A LOT! We missed you....and our tummies enjoyed having you back, too!

Whole Body Listening! We're Working On It!

5B,
I saw some great Whole Body Listening today after our discussion.  Some people have it completely figured out!  Others do some of the time but need reminders.  We'll get it down!  I believe in 5B, no matter what anyone else would say!  Families stick together, right?!  I know Mr. Anderlik and Mrs. Grimm will be stopping in to see if 5B (and other 5th graders) are able to be independent and on-task.  Be sure they see what 5B is TRULY made of when they T.H.I.N.K. and W.A.I.T!

By the looks of the Pic Collage I made of today's Research Analyst Project time, I think 5th graders enjoyed their "job!" Be ready to get your first job assignment in writing class!  Play time will continue (kind of) on Wednesday!

REMINDERS for WEDNESDAY!
1)  BAND PEOPLE!  Being responsible and remembering your instrument is a part of Cadet Pride.  Forgetting your instrument or not going to band will be considered a minor.  So, T.H.I.N.K. about what you need to do, ok?!

2)  Three Days Coffee Talk tomorrow!  Your "ticket" into the Coffee Talk is that you've read the amount of pages assigned, you have 1 (or more) filled up Think Pages and you're ready to chat!  I CAN NOT WAIT!!  It's SUCH a good spot in the book to talk about!!!!!

3)  Any November Book-Its - Please bring in....signed!  I'll have December calendars for Wednesday!

4)  Book Club Orders... Due Friday! Online or send to school!

5)  MOST IMPORTANTLY....   Sawyer is BACK from Virginia!  I'll KNOW you checked the blog if you write a quick and friendly "Welcome Back" note for Sawyer!  Show it to me as you walk in, and then put it at his spot for him to see/read!  Sawyer, though...  YOUR PROOF will be to come give me a BIG, EMOTIONAL HUG that shows how much you missed 5B (and me...heheheheee!)

Mixed Up Monday... Not Too Shabby for Cadet Pride!

We had great start BACK to 5B's Family today!  The play, Stuart Little, was a hoot!  Everyone seemed to enjoy some part of it.  Ken (older male actor) seemed to be some of the boys' favorite part!
We heard a lot about everyone's Thanksgiving breaks - some funny news, exciting news and maybe some sad news about one of our own 5B family members who thinks he's moving after Christmas... :(  We'll chat more with him to find out details and plans....  So sad to think of our family losing a member.....

Tuesday through Thursday should be back to "normal" routines... whatever that is, right?!  However, TUESDAY kicks off our HUGE PROJECT!  SO... IF you have any of those products at home for us to borrow for the week, that would be mighty fine of ya'll!  We will take good care of them!  So PLEASE bring them in the morning IF you do have some....

Be thinking about the TALENT SHOW coming up on December 22nd!  Let's see you do something FUN and ENTERTAINING!  Tell jokes, juggle, do a cool sport's move, do some type of aerobics dances, make up a skit, do a funny dance to a Christmas song, sing Jingle bells by barking like a dog!  We'll take ANY talent you're willing to share with us!  Ask your families to help you come up with an idea!  BE THINKING!

Book - It for November - Bring in Tuesday!
Coffee Talks - Three Days - Wednesday, My Life in Dog Years - Thursday, Biggest Klutz - Friday  (remember to bring your coffee mug again and think pages for your assigned day!)

Ok.. Blog Proof....  First of all....WARM UP your skills and play the 2 games below for a few minutes!  Most likely, they were on laptops only, so if you can, try them on a laptop.  I don't know if they work on iPads or tablets, sorry!

Snowball Fight Game #1

Snowball Fight Game #2

FIRST...  put up your SNOWBALL on the Smartboard and get ready for SWITCHING CLASSES...

Then, take one of the RESPECT papers (on the corner of the guided reading table) that we wrote on as a "ticket out" on Monday and crumple it up.  Find a place in the room to POSE in a position that shows you're ready for a class indoor SNOWBALL FIGHT!  Stay FROZEN in your POSE, no talking or moving. Be sure to be in a spot AWAY from others though to start.  When I say "GO", you'll throw your WAD of crumpled up paper at your classmates!  Grab another from the ground and keep pelting each other until the LIGHTS go OFF!

**WARNING.... if you THROW a paper snowball BEFORE I say "GO!", you will NOT be a part of this activity!  So, having self-control!

**WARNING... if you are talking or moving instead of staying FROZEN, you will NOT be a part of this activity!  Again, self-control is required!

5 Days of Relaxation..... = ???? on Monday????

Hey there, 5B!
I sure hope the 5 days of freedom and relaxation was as wonderful for you as it was for my family and me!  I'm sure there are all sorts of stories and events that you want to share about your time with family, friends or other activities you did (Holiday parade, football games, plays you were in, filled up tummies, family fun, sleeping in, hunting, etc!)  I'm definitely THANKFUL for those extra days of rest and fun, but as I posted on FaceBook, Twitter and with all of you last week, I'm always....
I saw many of you over the break.  It's always fun to see you out and about with your "home family" and friends!  However, I'm excited to see each and every one of you when we come back!
We have a VERY busy Monday and week ahead of us!  Already on Monday morning, we have a goofy schedule due to a special event!  The LaCrosse Community Theater for Youth is visiting Crestwood Elementary to perform the play Stuart Little!  Check out the link at the end of this message to get an idea of what the play will look like and how the characters will be dressed.  Click Here!  The play is based off of the chapter book by E.B. White (the same author as Charlotte's Web).

Our Monday morning will fly by quickly with the play in the morning.  We ALSO have another VERY special guests appearances that will be joining ALL of the 5th grade to share their MUSICAL TALENTS!  This will be a secret until it's time, but you are going to be AMAZED surely!  Wowza!  All sorts of fun and craziness to start the week, right?!

HUGE REMINDERS for the WEEK....
1)  WARM CLOTHES for OUTSIDE - smart choices for sophisticated and mature students, right-o?!

2)  TOYS, PRODUCTS, ITEMS - from home this week!  Remember our HUGE reading and writing project???  The green note we sent home last Tuesday explains what we need AND the bottom part is the parent permission slip to be returned:)
If you can't find this note, just bring in your items, products, toys (labeled with tape would be nice) and a note from your families saying it's ok for us to keep them for the week.  Remember, the more we have, the better of a project it will be for you!

3)  BOOK CLUBS!  Three Days has started their book club reading already over Thanksgiving break!  Their Coffee Talks will be THIS Wednesday.  Be sure you are reading.  The other groups will start reading on Monday for their Coffee Talks later in the week.

4)  P.E. on Monday!  Don't forget regular shoes for the day and P.E. class!

5)  5B Can't HIDE Our CADET PRIDE!  This time of year is often tough to keep ourselves under control and think about others.  We will be reviewing Cadet Pride, Minors and Expectations of 5th graders.

Blog Proof!  Give your 5B Mama a big "miss you" hug as you come in!  I'll be THRILLED to return the love!  You can bring in any of the items for the project and put them by the back smaller coffee table area.  Then let's chat as a family!  Stay warm!!  Get rested!  See you soon!

Monday, November 23, 2015

Man Oh Man, Monday!

5B, today was another good start to a week!  Last week was the same great beginning.... however, our  Tuesday did not show as full of Cadet Pride! Let's break that habit by showing an AMAZING end to a short week and send off for a wonderful Thanksgiving break!  Yeh!!!!

I was so busy after school chatting with the 5th grade teachers about our big project that we are starting RIGHT after Thanksgiving break that I FORGOT to check our Fun Passes!  Whoopsy!  So, that will be the blog proof for tonight!  Click on this TodaysMeet Link and put in your guess for how many you THINK we got today!  Bree looked in the bucket earlier and thought there were quite a few.  I did not see any, so I have NO IDEA!  Think of the times we had FABULOUS Cadet Pride as a class and when we needed some reminders... and take your best guess!

Reminders for Tuesday!
Can bring snack and drink for reading assessment/activity planned for all students - whether you are in Mrs. Sorenson's or Mrs. Knobloch's class!

Some of you have a book club started... so IF I assigned you homework over the Thanksgiving break, be sure you keep your book with you (at home!)!

For a little reminder entertainment, I don't think I put the Thanksgiving JibJabs on the blog??  If I did, sorry I'm repeating them, but they were pretty fun to watch again and again!

Click Below If You Want to Watch!

Be Thankful JibJab

Thanksgiving History JibJab

Happy Monday evening!  One more day to go!  But be prepared, Vince... I'll be asking for an emotional goodbye hug as you leave on Tuesday afternoon.  After all, I won't see my 5B Babies (mama, mama) for 5 WHOLE DAYS!

Happy SNOWY Weekend, 5B!

Well, our little "tweak" to the Pledge of Allegiance last Friday seemed to work, alright!  Didn't it?  I'm curious how many of you were excited about the result or disappointed.  I love how it looks outside, but I am NOT ready for the bundling up and constant cold feeling running through my body!
Click Here to see our Pledge on Youtube!

Last week was a fun-filled week for the reading students with me (Mrs. Sorenson) with 2 exciting reading events happening!  Be sure to share with your families about both of them if you haven't yet!  It was great to see that any age of student can converse about a book or what he/she is reading.  Great conversations were had in all groups!  Excellent job!

Then on Friday, we had a little "Coffee Talk" experience where the kids had real, honest and natural discussions about the books they read.  I was truly impressed how the book clubs were reading and BEYOND!  We plan to continue these from Thanksgiving to Christmas!  Yes, yes, yes!

And thanks to the very generous families who donated juice for our first "Coffee Talk."  We LOVED it and wanted more! :)

In writing class we've focused completely on...
Know how writers put together NONFICTION writing will be EXTREMELY helpful in our LONG and HUGE upcoming PROJECT for Writing and Reading classes!  So, keep up the great effort in learning these:  Description, Compare & Contrast, Sequence, Chronological, Problem & Solution and Cause & Effect!  Yep!  That's all of them!

Ok.. some heads up...
Last week was a pattern of UPS and DOWNS...  I'd like for us to work together and break that pattern by having 2 UPS days in a row!  I know we can do it IF we W.A.I.T. (Why Am I Talking?) and T.H.I.N.K. right?!

Because it's a goofy 2 days, we need to remember to....

Also, PLEASE-O-PLEASE remember how much your home family and school family cares about you and WEAR the APPROPRIATE WARM, WINTER clothes for recess!  Those students without hats, warm coats, gloves, and boots (and I'd say snow pants, too) will need to do some chatting with the teachers and principal about making mature and healthy choices.  If your family does NOT have any warm winter clothes, PLEASE see me about it, and we'll try to help you out in some way!  Ok?  I care about my 5B Babies (mama, mama!)

Finally...  when you come in on Monday morning, I'd LOVE for you to share with the class (and me!) what your weekend was spent doing, so get right onto KidBlog (use the 5B Blog link) and write a post about it.  I'll have the password out as a reminder. Do this after you get your attendance turkey in place and materials out for switching!  I'll see you getting on KidBlog and know you checked the blog instantly!  Enjoy the rest of your COLD Sunday evening!

We're BACK! Yep! I Knew 5B Would Do It!

Well, well, well!  We are definitely reflecting on our "off days" and learning from them!  That's all I ask of you, 5B.  When we KNOW something is expected, we DO IT:)  So very proud of you!

This is how I feel for all of us when we have these kinds of days where we have fun AND are still in control!

Click Here to Find Out!  (be prepared to groove a bit...)

Thanks for cleaning up the room today!  I know some of your cubbies needed a serious visit from the "maid service" because WOO-WEE!  Scary, scary!  I know I feel better when I do a little "clean up" session!  Some of you did not check your OWN cubbies though, so this is an area that needs to be worked on tomorrow quickly at recess.  If you have a cubby that looks like a small explosion took place.... that would be you:)

Homework...
Social Studies
ALL groups should be studying for Social Studies.  DT and WW classes have their tests on Thursday. F5 has their test on Friday!  It NEVER hurts to study several days BEFORE!  (just a little heads up)

No School NEXT Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for Turkey Day Break!

Okey Dokey, Artichokies...  Here's your blog proof tonight!  How many Fun Passes did we earn TODAY?  No matter the number, I think Vince's comment was very true..."That's worth a celebration!" as we all clapped!  So great to work with such an amazing 5B Family (we are family!)  I so mean that...

Now, to find out how many Fun Passes, go back through the post and count all of the RED letters/numbers I snuck into the post.  That is your Fun Pass number for Hump Day!  Whisper in my ear as you come in and get onto any of these apps after your materials are ready...
