I sure hope the 5 days of freedom and relaxation was as wonderful for you as it was for my family and me! I'm sure there are all sorts of stories and events that you want to share about your time with family, friends or other activities you did (Holiday parade, football games, plays you were in, filled up tummies, family fun, sleeping in, hunting, etc!) I'm definitely THANKFUL for those extra days of rest and fun, but as I posted on FaceBook, Twitter and with all of you last week, I'm always....
I saw many of you over the break. It's always fun to see you out and about with your "home family" and friends! However, I'm excited to see each and every one of you when we come back!
We have a VERY busy Monday and week ahead of us! Already on Monday morning, we have a goofy schedule due to a special event! The LaCrosse Community Theater for Youth is visiting Crestwood Elementary to perform the play Stuart Little! Check out the link at the end of this message to get an idea of what the play will look like and how the characters will be dressed. Click Here! The play is based off of the chapter book by E.B. White (the same author as Charlotte's Web).
Our Monday morning will fly by quickly with the play in the morning. We ALSO have another VERY special guests appearances that will be joining ALL of the 5th grade to share their MUSICAL TALENTS! This will be a secret until it's time, but you are going to be AMAZED surely! Wowza! All sorts of fun and craziness to start the week, right?!
HUGE REMINDERS for the WEEK....
1) WARM CLOTHES for OUTSIDE - smart choices for sophisticated and mature students, right-o?!
If you can't find this note, just bring in your items, products, toys (labeled with tape would be nice) and a note from your families saying it's ok for us to keep them for the week. Remember, the more we have, the better of a project it will be for you!
3) BOOK CLUBS! Three Days has started their book club reading already over Thanksgiving break! Their Coffee Talks will be THIS Wednesday. Be sure you are reading. The other groups will start reading on Monday for their Coffee Talks later in the week.
4) P.E. on Monday! Don't forget regular shoes for the day and P.E. class!
5) 5B Can't HIDE Our CADET PRIDE! This time of year is often tough to keep ourselves under control and think about others. We will be reviewing Cadet Pride, Minors and Expectations of 5th graders.
Blog Proof! Give your 5B Mama a big "miss you" hug as you come in! I'll be THRILLED to return the love! You can bring in any of the items for the project and put them by the back smaller coffee table area. Then let's chat as a family! Stay warm!! Get rested! See you soon!
