It's Game Time!

Ok, so hopefully, 5B, you know what we mean by that:)  The board game project was introduced today, but I know there was VERY little time to start brainstorming.  However, it seemed that many of your groups had a good idea of how you want to start planning it out.

I have board games printed for those who told me today (Monday), and I can print those off for groups tomorrow when you decide.  Remember to bring in any materials your group thought would be helpful.

We have Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  Friday will NOT have work time.  Then, next Monday will be the last class day.  Next Tuesday, is Due Date #1 to play the games for a "dress rehearsal" before others try them out!  This should be fun!

Your blog proof tonight will be to watch this procedural text (in spoken form) on how to play a game called Gobblet.  Click here for the directions!  When you come in the morning, I'll have a game set up. After the pledge, raise your hand to play the game. We will NOT go through the directions aloud.  I'll expect that you know the game based on the procedural text shared with you on the video.  The game I have is a mini/shorter version, so it may not have as many pieces but follows the same rules.

ALSO for Tuesday....
Don't forget you have your PUBERTY TEST tomorrow.  It will be a big part of your science grade.  You must know the vocabulary AND both diagrams for male and female!  Practice, practice!

Another reminder is to bring in ...

We had a WHOPPING $16.10 just in pennies on Monday!  Let's see what we can do with nickels!  Be sure you check with your families first AND make sure they know WHY we are bringing in change (to help support the Meals for the Heartland group that allows us to package meals for starving people again next fall during the Borlaug Harvest Fest!)

I'll take some volunteers to count nickels at recess for me tomorrow, too!  The first 2 people to email me will get the job!  I'd love to see who's willing to help us out!

Finally, tomorrow will ALSO be a TWISTED Tuesday due to the band concert practice and mini concert we all get to watch.  So, you will have a short math/science in the morning, and a FULL literacy in the afternoon to work on your board game projects.

Have a great night!  Remember the blog proof up above:)
