MOVE FORWARD after MONDAY....

Wowza... Today, as we all know already, was NOT a proud day for us!  Yikes!  HOWEVER, I'm glad we came together, brainstormed ideas and have a new positive goal to show we can work as a TEAM!  I loved the ideas everyone was sharing to find the positives for us!  Also, I think it is so great that you want to continue the Golden Bucket because you know it makes others feel good!

So, here's our Fun Pass ticket to add to our 5B Class Goal!  Your suggestions for how many to set up for a goal ranged from 3 - 100!  So, we have many different perspectives from our 5B Family (we are family)!  I thought 3 was too little and 100 was too high!  So, I'll go with more from the middle!  Let's start with 20 for our first goal.  If we get to it REALLY quickly, then we should set it much higher the next time.  If we take a LONG TIME to reach it, we can decrease it next time.  Does that work?  Hope so!

I'm glad we FINALLY got to celebrate Ben's birthday and eat some yummy treats!  Thanks again, Ben!  Yummy to my tummy!
REMINDERS...
Conferences... There were 11 students from class that have not gotten signed up for conferences yet.  The deadline for signing up  is Wednesday, October 28.  Remember, I asked you to be the little fly that "buzzes" all over your parents about conferences, right!?  If we can get ALL of 5B to get signed up either online or by calling the school (563.547.2340), I'd be happy to put in a Fun Pass! Let's keep working together!

The school's PTO is continuing to come up with ideas to help fundraise extra dollars to support YOU, the kids!  Here's a reminder poster of different items you can bring to school! The different programs offer money by collecting these items.   See the list below to check at YOUR house if you have any of these products that could be brought in and used as CASH for kid items!!

FINALLY...  I have been wanting to start our NEW Read-Aloud book since last Thursday!  Our transitions and chatting got in the way....but I'm SURE things will brighten up the rest of the week, ya think?!  It's called Fish in a Tree.  It is the year's Global Read Aloud!  The other 5th graders and other classes are also reading it.  It will be a great one to chat with others about IF WE FINALLY START READING IT :)  Let's make that plan for tomorrow!!  Yeehaw!  Here's a quick video/trailer to let you know what the book is about.
